Smoking is a harmful act that has serious effects on the mind and body of the smoker. Smoking is also known to be associated with the excessive skin dryness, premature ageing, blemishes, and other skin disorders.
The act of smoking is responsible for developing deep wrinkles that usually appear around the lips and also around the eyes. Smoking is also known to cause dryness of the facial skin. Smoke along with its drying effect is responsible to rob the natural moisture of your face. When the smoke of cigarettes passes over the face it usually leaves behind dirty residue that discolor skin, clog pores, and eventually result in an unhealthy pallor.
Cigarettes contain nicotine, tar and carbon monoxide and nicotine has adverse effects on your skin. Smoking, other than external causes, also has internal effects on the skin. Nicotine is known to decrease the blood flow and constricting the veins in the whole body. When the blood flow is restricted, then the skin does not get proper amount of oxygen, and in turn drying down the skin.
